Jimbaran is a long arc of light sand in a sheltered bay: small waves, gentle entry, warm water — one of the southwest's best swimming beaches. Mornings belong to fishermen and the fish market.
In the evening the beach becomes a giant restaurant: grill cafes set tables on the sand, seafood cooks over coals, the sun sets into the ocean. The airport is 10–15 minutes away — planes over the north end are part of the scenery.
